What to Expect in Your Virtual Training Session

Here are some things you will need for your Virtual Dog Training:

  • Internet connection
  • Computer, tablet or mobile device with a camera & microphone (headphone with a mic is recommended for phones & tablets)
  • Ability to download Zoom app
  • Pen & notepad
  • Small bite-sized treats
  • Favorite toys, bed, leash & clicker (recommended)

Set up for Success

Have a plan for what behaviors you want to work on.

Prepare your training area with ample space to move around.

Ensure you have an internet connection, the Zoom app downloaded & your device set up where the camera is facing out (not in selfie mode)

Patience is key! Be sure to communicate your goals & any concerns with your trainer. Remember, not to be too hard on yourself or your pup!

Train Safely

Have your dog on a leash & secured in a safe, enclosed environment (i.e., living room with doors closed or backyard with gate locked)

If working with multiple dogs during the session, have a helper, if possible, to help manage the dogs.
